Our client, a global pharmaceutical company, asked us to create a new digital newsletter for employee communications that could be managed centrally. The goal was to streamline the way they collated content, improve accessibility and reduce their carbon footprint.

We began to develop an automated process to gather & manage content. To avoid sending large emails and reduce carbon footprint, we designed a comms strategy to share the newsletter by a link and used SharePoint to house it for easy access.

We delivered team training sessions to explain the new process and managed and edited the successful publication of 7 newsletter editions.

SharePoint became a simple, central place to easily manage content and saved the equivalent amount of CO2e that would be produced by driving an average car 356 miles. With each further edition of the newsletter, these savings will only grow.

We also provided WCAG support and guidance through the design of the new SharePoint newsletter template and training on built-in accessibility features.

An excellent example of simplification, digital sustainability and continuous improvement.
